In this episode of Menopause Buddies, I speak to Donna Rawding from the UK, who shares her career change from being a successful solicitor to becoming a wellness practitioner, in part as a result of her perimenopause experience.
Donna describes losing herself at the start of her perimenopause journey and found she felt overwhelmed with the various symptoms she experienced, including rage, anxiety, dizziness, heart palpitations, night sweats, irritability, and a loss of libido. She shares a pivotal moment of rage, over a missing cornetto, that made her realize something was wrong. With the help of yoga, holistic approaches, together with HRT and testosterone Donna started to regain her balance and clarity.
Recognizing her newfound strength and empowerment, she made the decision to leave her successful law career and follow her dreams of becoming a yoga teacher. Through her own wellness business, Donna now supports other midlife women in their journey to rediscover themselves and manage peri/menopause symptoms.
